Course Information

The Amway River Bank Run presented by Fifth Third Bank with Corewell Health, the Official Health Partner, will celebrate 47 years of road running on Saturday, May 11, 2024.  

River Bank Courses:

Course Amenities:

  • Aid Stations providing Ice Mountain Water and Gatorade are located approximately every 2 miles, 
  • Corewell (Spectrum) Health Medical Personnel located approximately every 2 miles
  • Port-a-jons are located at the Start and Finish Lines and approximately every .5 mile

 

 

Course Timeframes

25K
  • Times will be recorded until approximately 12:15p  – 3.5 hours from the 8:45am start of myTeam Triumph
  • Participants must be able to maintain a 13:35 minute pace per mile — 25K Pace Chart
  • Participants not maintaining a 13:35 minute per mile pace will be instructed to move to the sidewalk and finish at their own risk without event services OR you will be offered a ride by race transportation to the finish area
    • All course streets will be opened to vehicle traffic (except Monroe Avenue between Louis & Michigan) by 12:15pm 
  • Medical, aid stations, course marshals and course markings will no longer be available when roads open to traffic
  • NO Baby joggers, backpacks, bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards and animals  allowed on the course
10K
  • All participants must be able to maintain a 16 minute pace (Finish Time of 1:39:25)  10K Pace Chart
  • Note: All 10K participants will stay to the left on Park St and John Ball Park St. (10K 3 mile to turn left onto Butterworth. It is possible based on your pace that the 25K Lead vehicles, 25K handcycle/wheelchair and 25K elite athletes will pass you on the right. Please be aware of your surroundings
  • Participants with an estimated finish time of 1:20:00 or more (13 minute or more pace per mile) be aware of your surroundings as 25K lead vehicles, 25K handcycle, wheelchair and elite athletes will be racing to the finish line.  
  • The 10K course follows portions of the 25K and 5K
  • NO Baby joggers, backpacks, bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards and animals  allowed on the course
5K Run
  • All participants must be able to maintain a 14:30 minute per mile pace — 5K Pace Chart
  • This event is a 5K Run only – the 5K walk starts at 7:45a,  please register for the appropriate event and start times
  • NO Baby joggers, backpacks, bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards and animals  allowed on the course
5K Community Walk
  • All 5K Walk participants must be able to maintain a 25 minute per mile pace  5K Walk Pace Chart
    • Participants with an estimated finish time of 1:20:00 or more (13 minute or more pace per mile) be aware of your surroundings as 25K handcycle and wheelchair athletes will be racing to the finish line.  
    • The 5K Walk participants must complete the course by 9:10am (25 minute per mile pace) 
  • The 5K Walk is the only event that allows baby joggers/strollers, child carrier front/back packs, wagons and leashed dogs. Please line up at the back of the group and be courteous of other walkers
