I have completed 10 marathons and about 70 HMs. For last 6 years, I have volunteered as a pacer for about 25 half marathons. I enjoy volunteering as a pacer it is a rewarding experience and another way to give back to the running community. I look forward to the opportunity to pacing River Bank Run 25K. Thank you.
I've been running for as long as I can remember! I've had the opportunity to race and to pace, my favorite however, it to pace. I LOVE being able to help runners reach their goals. Whether this race is their 1st, 2nd, or 15th, the feeling is so indescribable. I look forward to being a part of this wondering team for 2019!
Dr. Rick ran his first marathon in 1994 and made many of the normal rookie mistakes. He went out too fast, didn’t eat or drink enough, and struggled his way through the final eight miles. He has now run 133 marathons – including the last 18 Boston Marathons! Over the years he has figured out that with proper training, pacing, and smart race day decisions, the final miles can actually be a very pleasant experience.
I started running about 5 years ago on a bet/challenge with my sister, who knew it would turn into a passion/obsession of mine! I love pacing, hearing all the inspiring stories of fellow runners, and getting to watch people achieve there own goals and PR's while running with us. Last summer, I accomplished my longest distance ever, a 50 mile trail Ultra. This fall, I get to attempt the Barclay Fall Classic in Frozen Head state park, Tennessee! I can't wait to see you all on race day.
